Ahi Garden

At Ahi, we’re fortunate to have our own kitchen garden in Patumāhoe, nurtured in rich red volcanic soil. By embracing organic and seasonal growing practices, we cultivate the freshest, most flavorful produce to elevate every dish on the Ahi menu.

Ben Bayly

Born and raised in Te Awamutu, Ben Bayly discovered his love for food early. After nearly a decade learning from world-class chefs across France, Italy, and the UK, he returned to New Zealand, bringing his passion and expertise to Ahi.

Renowned for his dedication to New Zealand’s food culture and nurturing culinary talent, Ben leads Ahi’s talented team, sourcing the finest seasonal produce from Ahi Organic Gardens in South Auckland to create exceptional dining experiences.

Sustainability

Our commitment to regenerative agriculture and permaculture means we care for the soil as much as the food. From composting kitchen waste to nurturing plant health, we actively work to support the environment and combat climate change.

We also partner with like-minded local suppliers to ensure every ingredient on our menu is sustainably sourced, helping us create exceptional dishes while supporting responsible food practices.
